Community Energy Project Workshop

Thursday October 20th 2011 9:00 am to noon

Council Chambers Perth Town Hall

Pre-registration required

Join us for a free 3-hour interactive discussion and help to work through an actual case study model that can result in a solar community energy project in your neighbourhood!  No previous experience or knowledge regarding solar power or renewable green energy is required to participate!  We are inviting individual residents and representatives from business, hospitals, schools, municipalities, places of worship, and service clubs and environmental organizations to get input !  Light refreshments will be provided.

This workshop is the result of a partnership between the Ontario Sustainable Energy Association (OSEA) and ecoPerth.  The OSEA has received a grant from the Community Energy Partnerships Program to deliver 15 of these workshops across the Province this fall.  EcoPerth is one of  many organizations across the province who have agreed to host a workshop and extend an invitation to their community partners to participate.

The goal is to engage established community-based organizations and institutional groups with assets (e.g. municipalities, hospitals, and schools) and to help them collaborate on their own community power projects.

For more information about the OSEA and their roadmap to using energy more efficiently and producing renewable power visit http://www.ontario-sea.org/Storage/56/4826_Community_Power_Services_brochure.pdf

If you are interested in participating please email Bob Argue of ecoPerth at bob@ecoperth.on.ca or call 613 268-2907. Pre-registration is required and space is limited.
