Launch of Tay Watershed Interpretive Panel
And the Tay River Pathway Extension Ceremony, Lanark County
September 6, 2017
On Wednesday, September 6, 2017, our Association representatives participated in the inauguration of the Tay River Pathway extension, located on Lanark County property behind the Lanark Lodge on Christie Lake Road. Included in the ceremony was the launch of the watershed interpretive panel, organised by our Association, at the viewpoint deck overlooking the Tay River.
As shown in these photos, the interpretive panel introduces the public to the river and the watershed, their wildlife, and the measures in place to care for them. The panel was developed with the support of the Perth & District Community Foundation, RVCA’s Rural Clean Water Program, and individual donors, and designed by Annie Dalton.
Pictured beside the panel, are Association Directors and Advisory Panel Members, from the left, Larry Bowen, Jim Graff, Annie Dalton, David Taylor, Derek Matheson (Manager, RVCA Rural Clean Water Program), Frank Roy, and Judy Buehler.
The organisers of the Pathway, and Lanark County Trail Corporation, are to be congratulated for this valuable addition to our community.
